The Birmingham International Academy (BIA), offers integrated Foundation Pathway programmes, Pre-Masters and Pre-PhD programmes and a wide range of high quality, short and long Presessional English courses throughout the year for students . All our Presessional English courses provide clear progression onto Foundation, Undergraduate and Postgraduate studies at the University of Birmingham without retaking IELTS. We offer an attractive social programme throughout the year, which includes day and weekend trips, sporting, theatre and music events as well as meals out.

Courses run year round with flexible entry requirements depending on students' intended university programme. For all Presessionals, students must hold an offer from the University of Birmingham.

The Business Management English (BME) Presessional is a course aimed specifically at preparing students for a range of programmes at Birmingham Business School and the BIA is one of only a few institutions offering this subject specific programme.
