Business English UK is a special interest group of English UK. It is formed by a group of leading language centres who are passionate about teaching English for business. Business English UK Open Days is aimed at offering opportunities for business English trainers outside the UK to visit Business English UK member schools and participate in the annual Business English Trainers’ Conference in London. A number of BEUK members around the UK will open their doors to welcome overseas trainers between 3 – 7 May 2010.

A special half price offer is available for English UK members for the UKCISA Manual 2010, the authoritative guide to regulations and procedures relating to international students, including immigration and fees, and student support.

English Profile is a groundbreaking collaborative research project that is working to provide a detailed set of Reference Level Descriptions for English. Teachers and others involved in the teaching of high level learners are invited to provide feedback on draft "Can Do" statements for C level learners on the English Profile website - www.englishprofile.org.

The British Council invites proposals for the second ELT Research Partnership Scheme. Through this scheme we aim to promote partnerships between UK and overseas academic institutions, and to encourage and facilitate research that will impact on ELT practice around the world.
