Visitors from Colombia, Peru and Guyana will no longer need a visa to visit the UK for up to six months, from 9 November 2022.

West London English School (WLES) is one of English UK's smaller member centres - and yet in the past two years it has offered free tuition to around 90 refugees, working with the charity RefuAid.

Last week saw another successful online StudyWorld event, attended by 63 educators and service providers and 88 agents and buyers from all over the world.

At English UK we continue to build evidence on the impact of the end of ID Card travel on junior groups coming to the UK. We will present the findings to the UK government to support discussions and try to find solutions to help our sector. 

Almost 500 refugees and asylum seekers were learning English with free tuition from English UK members last year, according to the charity's Impact Report for 2021-22.
