Central Language School Cambridge is a small, friendly, city-centre school which was founded in Cambridge in 1996 by a group of Christians. We offer full-time and part-time courses from Pre-Intermediate to Advanced levels to students aged 18 and older. Our classes are small, with an average of 6 students, and never more than 10, so students benefit from a high level of individual attention. Over the years we have welcomed students from over 100 different countries.

Central Language School Cambridge is located in the heart of the historic city of Cambridge, very close to shops, restaurants, cinemas and the colleges of Cambridge University. We are within walking distance of the railway station and only 3 minutes' walk from the bus station.
Our aim is to give students a warm welcome and an excellent opportunity to learn English in a caring, community atmosphere. Each day students and staff chat together in the mid-morning break and at lunch times.

In all classes, there are opportunities for students to practise spoken English and to aim for greater fluency. Each week students can also improve their listening, reading and writing skills as well as pronunciation, vocabulary and grammar. Classes can provide exam practice for those preparing for an exam.

Our social activity programme is varied and includes visits to museums, punting on the River Cam, baking, sports, walks around Cambridge and visits to local places. Activities are organised by our teachers, offering students more time to practise their English in an informal atmosphere, get to know other students and learn about British culture.

Our homestay accommodation offers a wonderful opportunity to experience British culture and a chance to build warm and lasting friendships with local people. Students can choose half-board, self-catering or bed & breakfast accommodation.

There are many good language schools in Cambridge, and because Central Language School is one of the smallest, our students often say they feel like part of a family here.
