Showcasing the best of UK education

Last summer, the five actors (Dong-Il Sung, Kwang-Kyu Kim, Ki-Jun Um, Hyuk Jang, Seung-Hwan Shin) spent two weeks immersed in intensive English lessons alongside other international students.

The series also sees the group enjoying day to day experiences, from interactions with their homestay families to excursions around Cambridge.

Capturing the challenges and triumphs of language learning

50 hidden cameras reveal unscripted, genuine moments of natural language learning as the students communicate with teachersclassmates, and locals.

The programme beautifully captures the real-life challenges and little triumphs of international students learning in an authentic setting.

In addition to presenting high quality education, the show features picturesque views of lush green landscapes and historical cities, showcasing the UK as the ideal location for international students to develop their English language skills.

Learning English is for everyone

With the five actors all in their 40s and 50s, one key message of the show is that it's never too late to start learning English. Whether for travel, confidence-building, or international career opportunities, the actors' motivations for developing their English skills reflect the reasons why so many students choose to study in the UK.

Inspiring the next generation of learners

As the series continues to air, it is sure to inspire a new wave of students to embark on their own English learning adventures in the UK. With famous Korean actors leading by example on an international stage, this truly is a significant moment for UK ELT.
