Centre of English Studies is family owned and run English Language school with over 36 years’ experience in teaching students from all over the world. We have seven year round schools located in Dublin, London, Oxford, Worthing, Leeds, Harrogate and Edinburgh. We also offer International Junior Summer schools in Worthing, Leeds and Dublin where students stay in carefully selected families. We also offer an International Junior Residential Centre in Brighton and Oxford University.

Founded in 1983, and formerly known as Oxford House School of English, the school is now under the new ownership of Centre of English Studies, UK & Ireland. It remains a very personal, family-run school with a a highly dedicated team of staff. We offer high-quality general, intensive and specialist English tuition throughout the year to individuals and small closed groups. Preparation for Cambridge and IELTS examinations forms an integral, though not exclusive part of our syllabus. A full and varied social, sports and excursions programme is organised and homestay accommodation is arranged either within walking distance or a short bus-ride from the school. Wheatley is an attractive village close to Oxford city centre, only 10 minutes away, but away from the tourist crowds. It provides a safe and friendly environment in which to live and study. The maximum class size in Oxford is 9.
