International Student Club organises all-inclusive English language courses for students aged 9-17 years at Bloxham School, a historic UK boarding school founded in 1860. The school is located in the picture-perfect village of Bloxham in Oxfordshire, near the famous Cotswolds, Oxford and London.
ISC has run fun, educational English Language courses for 27 years and aims to have the best possible summer school in the best possible location. Bloxham School offers exceptional sports, arts, drama and leisure facilities, 60 acres of beautiful grounds and a variety of characterful and modern boarding houses, all set within a safe campus environment.
Our General English lessons are creative, fun and communicative and we aim to help our students improve in confidence and fluency when using English. Our levels range from Elementary to Advanced and students practise all communication skills and pronunciation, with a focus on spoken production.
We also aim to get students ready for the real world with practice of essential life skills. Course components include leadership, teamwork, problem solving, critical thinking and effective communication skills activities. Students enjoy delivering their ISC business pitches, reporting on ISC news as mini-journalists and debating lessons.
We also offer General English+ courses - GE+ 1:1/1:2/Mini-Group Tennis, GE+ Cambridge Exam PET/FCE Preparation and GE+ Academic English. See our website for full details.
We offer a fantastic daily sports, arts and drama-based activities programme, including football, outdoor adventure, tennis, swimming, dance, arts & crafts, baking, circus skills, yoga, traditional British games and much more. Evening activities include a murder mystery, team competitions, discos and cinema nights.
ISC students go on 3 full-day excursions to London, Oxford and Birmingham. Students learn about Oxford University's historic colleges and go punting, enjoy Birmingham's interactive science museum and sights, go sightseeing in London and visit its world-famous museums and attractions. We also offer optional trips to Harry Potter Warner Brothers' Studios, the Tower of London or the London Eye.
