Description of centre
Etherton Education runs pre-sessional residential academic summer courses to prepare international students for entering British boarding schools. Our 2023 courses will be based at Blundell’s School in Devon.
Our aim is to prepare students in every way for making a strong, confident start when they enter their boarding schools in September. The courses are also suitable for students who want a ‘taste’ of British boarding school life.
The courses are for students aged 10 to 17. The dates are Sunday 6th August to Sunday 3rd September 2023. The fee for a four-week course is £5,888 (£1472 a week) and this includes tuition in English and students’ main academic subjects, airport transits (on certain dates) accommodation in a modern boarding house with resident staff, three meals a day, one full-day cultural trip a week, a sports programme, evening and Sunday social activities and clubs. British Student Hosts mix with students after lessons to play with them, look after them, and help them study.
There are three levels:
The Pre-A-Level/Pre-IB Course (ages 15-17)
The Pre-GCSE Course (ages 13-15)
The Junior Academic Course (ages 10-12)
