UK's top 50 special moments
People have been asked what are their top special moments. Top of the list is getting married, followed by passing your driving test and seeing your children born. A smile from a stranger and a night out with a friend are also popular, as is learning to ride a bike.
Other moments mentioned by people including getting an email or owning a mobile phone for the first time.
Fake tan most popular in Manchester
John Lewis is a department store with shops in lots of UK cities. So it was interesting to read what the store group says about sales in different cities. It says it sells 164 per cent more fake tan in Manchester than the national average, and 750 per cent more barbecues in Bristol.
The London stores sell around 650 per cent more hair trimmers than the average, and people in Edinburgh spend 100 per cent more on "picnic hampers" - these are boxes and bags for taking food to eat in the open air. Finally, Manchester men buy a lot more Speedo swimming trunks than anywhere else.
Cheese racing in the UK
The UK has a lot of strange events which have been happening for many years. One is the cheese rolling race in Gloucestershire. Thousands of people gathered this week to watch people chase a large, round cheese down a very steep hill. The cheese can reach speeds of up to 70 miles per hour.
The Top Gear team return
Top Gear, one of the world's favourite TV programmes, will be different next time it is on our TVs because the main presenter, Jeremy Clarkson, had to leave after punching a member of staff. However, lots of people round the UK are enjoying the Top Gear experience, because a live show is currently on tour (but can't be called Top Gear any more).
Clarkson, Hammond and May Live is a world tour which will go to South Africa, Norway and Australia as well as UK cities.
