English UK are pleased to announce the full programme for the 2012 Business English Trainers' Conference is now available online.
Supported by Cambridge ESOL and hosted by International House London, the conference features plenary and elective sessions from experts, a Business English-focused exhibition and lunch and refreshments. Bookings are being taken online.
The conference will be opened by Sue Johns, chair of Business English UK, and Jon Grant of Cambridge ESOL will also give brief update on Cambridge ESOL initiatives.
Evan Frendo (pictured), well-known teacher trainer, author, speaker and consultant, will deliver the opening plenary 'Let's talk about Specificity', giving his thoughts on the provision of 'general' Business English against more specific variations. Evan has recently published four books in Pearson's Vocational English series.
Ian McMaster will discuss if we teach too much 'language' and not enough 'communication' when delivering Business English Courses. Ian is editor-in-chief of Business Spotlight International and was joint coordinator of IATEFL-BESIG from 2006 to 2009.
During the day elective sessions will cover diverse topics including getting started in teaching Business English, teaching English to lawyers, the use of technology and more.
Places at this conference are limited and are strictly first come, first served. Book now to avoid disappointment.
