English UK member centres vote for 2023 subscription rise
Over a third of English UK member centres took part in November's ballot to approve a below-inflation rise in subscriptions.
The vote – passed by a comfortable majority – was for a 6% rise in basic and supplementary subscriptions for 2023.
The English UK Board of Trustees had recommended members vote in favour of the rise. Together with other changes approved by the Board, it will help to safeguard English UK's future and the services the association provides to members.
The other changes are:
- Direct debits for the basic subscription will be split into seven smaller instalments rather than five, with the first due in January
- Basic subscription fees will be calculated on centre's average student weeks between 2017-2021 rather than for the previous year.
