Stories from PRELIM project provide much needed inspiration

At two closing ceremonies this week, course participants and member centres involved in the PRELIM project shared moving testimonies of their experiences in the British Council funded project. Teachers from around the world spoke of their increased confidence, the strength of friendships they had forged and the legacy that the training would provide in their classrooms and for their learners. 

In the most difficult of years for UK ELT these stories provided much needed inspiration for the centres involved, and participants shared their hopes that the project could be repeated. 

English UK Business Development Director Tim Barker addressed the ceremony, speaking of a "career highlight" and congratulating particpants for their dedication and commitment.

17 English UK member centres successfully bid to work in partnerships with English language teacher associations in 20 countries, to deliver tailor-made online courses to raise teachers' language confidence as part of the British Council funded PRELIM project.
