English language expert David Crystal to speak at ELT Conference 2021
We are delighted to announce that author, English language expert, grammarian and multi-award winning David Crystal will close our next ELT Conference with a talk on 'What's new in the English language?'
Giving his insight into current developments and possible future directions of the English language, David will bring decades of experience and expertise to the conference, and as an excellent speaker who always brings the subject to life we know David will be a fantastic close to the event.

We have had great feedback on the ELT Conference this year with around 90% of respondants saying they left feeling inspired and with ideas to implement back at work. The event was rated 8.5/10 and two out of three delegates felt more confident after attending.
After a successful ELT Conference this January, we are working on the 2021 event so expect more announcements soon.
"The ELT conference provided an excellent opportunity to learn new approaches to implement into my teaching practice."
– Andrew Harrison, Brunel University London
The conference will run on Friday 15 and Saturday 16 January, with Friday focussed on academic management topics and Saturday on classroom practice. Be sure to secure your place now!
Conference Producer Tom Weatherley said: "We are looking forward to running the event again. We hope to build on a fantastic event in early 2021, which got excellent feedback, and are really please to have a speaker of David's calibre as both our first announcement and closing plenary."
