Eleanor Thomas, Events & Training Manager

Eleanor is responsible for the successful delivery of a range of English UK's events and conferences. This includes English UK's training programme, webinars and our flagship StudyWorld events. Working alongside her colleagues in the projects team Eleanor focuses on the smooth management of events as well as technical support and expertise. She also works with the chief executive providing project support for the English UK antiracism plan, which was published in July 2021.

Before joining English UK in 2018 Eleanor coordinated personal and professional development events.

Eleanor graduated from the University of East Anglia in 2016 with a BA in American Literature with Creative Writing. She is an experienced guides leader having volunteered for Girlguiding for 5+ years. Eleanor grew up in Russia and has lived in Sweden, Switzerland, America and Australia. She studied a semester abroad in north America at the State University of New York College at Plattsburgh, and in Melbourne at the University of Melbourne.
