English UK strengthens ties in Brazil
English UK recently visited Brazil to promote the UK as the premier study destination for English language students.
In March, Market Development & Insights Manager Roz McGill represented English UK at a series of key events in São Paulo. Together with some member centre representatives, Roz engaged with agents and industry partners to strengthen the presence of UK ELT in one of its most important source markets.
Agent training at the British Consulate-General in São Paulo
The English UK agent training session, held at the British Consulate-General in São Paulo, was a key highlight. Supported by the Department of Business and Trade in Brazil (DBT) Belta and British Council Brazil, the event welcomed over 45 participants and provided an invaluable opportunity to showcase the USPs of UK ELT.
Partnership with Belta
The event concluded with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between English UK and Belta, Latin America's oldest study abroad agent association. We're delighted to formally recognise and consolidate our long-term collaboration.
IE! Magazine launch plus B2B and B2C events
English UK was also proud to participate in the IE! Magazine launch, Belta's widely circulated annual student-facing publication. This year's edition features the UK as the cover star.
Roz went on to attend ST Alphe Brazil to connect with new partners. 82 out of 102 participating agents expressed strong interest in English language courses in the UK.
As the final event of the trip, Roz visited STB's Festival do Intercâmbio, one of the largest student fairs in Brazil.
Brazil remains a top source market for UK ELT, and English UK will continue to work to strengthen relations and raise awareness of the UK ELT offer throughout the Latin American region.
