A warm welcome to more new members
We are delighted to welcome more new English language member centres to our association: English Path, Bournemouth City College and Kilgraston Summer School. We look forward to meeting their teams in person at one of our events very soon.
Huan Japes, our membership director, said: "It's great to see language centres and colleges applying to join us. We are definitely stronger as an association than as individuals, and it's fantastic that organisations that have not previously been in membership can see the benefits of our expert support, advice and events. The membership team and I feel like we know our new members well already and we're hoping they'll get chances to meet the wider membership soon, either at one of our events or through regional or national subgroups."
Here are a few facts about our latest recruits:

Year-round young learner programmes are available for 8-17-year olds at English Path's West London centre, as well as seasonal camps in London, Eastbourne and Malta. English Path's mission to change lives through education includes partnerships with two charities that support students with English learning: RefuAid and Soul Bilíngue.
Bournemouth City College

Bournemouth City College teaches General English, IELTS and Cambridge Exam preparation, Cambridge B2 and C1 examinations, Cambridge Business English and ESOL. Regular homework and self-study activities are provided to promote learner autonomy and help students to consolidate the things they have covered in class.
The college also offers general and exam courses online, which include guided self-study time as well as pair work and group work within lessons. The college says studying in Bournemouth isn't just about grammar but an academic, cultural and personal experience, and that it teaches English for communication in the real world. "Our philosophy is to ensure that, whether you come to Bournemouth City College for one week or twelve weeks, you will leave the school with a sense of achievement." Students are encouraged not only to use their language in the classroom but also to go out and practise at the beach, the town centre, or a local cultural or historical site.
Kilgraston Summer School

The school is also popular with students keen on horse riding as it is the only one in Scotland with an onsite equestrian centre. New for 2022 is a youth leadership programme for teenagers with high levels of English.
