Plans to create a professional association for language teachers have been outlined by English UK.
Last month 12 leading educational agents attended an English UK inward mission that was designed to showcase Central England. The diverse group of agents came from across the Asian Pacific region (including China, Indonesia, Thailand and Vietnam) as well as from Poland and Russia.
English UK chief executive Tony Millns says he is "encouraged" by remarks made by Labour leader Ed Miliband during a ground-breaking speech on immigration today.
Any moves to remove international students from migration figures would have to include English language students as well as those at university for the sector's continuing success.
