English UK: promoting quality English language learning in the UK
Public Health England, the Government's agency for health and wellbeing, has issued guidance for educational establishments on the Ebola virus, including what to do if a student recently returned from an affected area falls ill.
It stresses that the risk is very low indeed, but does outline the action educational institutions should take if they are concerned about the health of a student who may be at risk of having contracted the virus.
There are two separate guidance documents for schools and further/higher educational establishments.
- The document aimed at schools: Ebola: advice and risk assessment for educational, childcare and young persons' settings
- The document for universities: Ebola: advice and risk assessment for universities and further educational establishments
- The general information page on Ebola: Ebola virus disease: clinical management and guidance
