Introducing Legal English courses in the UK

There are dozens of Legal English courses designed especially for those working in the legal profession, available at English UK member centres across the country.

Some courses are for law students or recently qualified lawyers, while others are aimed at experienced legal professionals, from lawyers to paralegals, legal secretaries and translators.

These courses immerse students in legal English language and teach them how to handle professional activities like contract writing and negotiation, in English. One of the advantages of studying legal English in the UK is the chance to visit UK law firms and legal institutions, or meet lawyers practicing in the UK.

Qualifications

TOLES (Test of Legal English) exams are a series of internationally recognised legal English exams which are offered by several English UK members. There are 3 TOLES exams - Foundation, Higher and Advanced. Find out more about TOLES.
